Takeo Kuramochi works for an international apparel company. He discovered hula and began dancing with HNMOP Iapana in October 2006. "I enjoy the richness that hula has brought to my life and how my joy for hula overflows into the lives of my family and friends. “The Hawaiian values taught in hālau have helped me become a better person—I am more kind to others,” Takeo shares. Since meeting Kumu Sonny, Kumu Lōpaka and his hula brothers and sisters, Takeo has been living a happy life. When asked what his favorite song to dance to is, Takeo immediately replied, “‘Kamali‘i O Ka Pō’ hula kahiko is my favorite and this mele makes me feel connected to ancient Hawai‘i.”
